What's the difference in Concealer and Foundation?

both are make up. but what is the purpose for each one. Am i using my make up wrong or something. I thought they were the same thing. What's the difference in Concealer and Foundation?
Concealer is usually what you use first - you apply to little areas such as pimples or dark circles under your eyes or red patches. But be careful to blend it in really well.

Then you use foundation over the top all over your face. Blend that in really really well especially down your throat. There's nothing worse than having a visible line on your jaw where your foundation ends! What's the difference in Concealer and Foundation?
Concealer is a thicker formula, meant to hide specific imperfections (like pimples, redness, under eye circles, etc). Foundation is for the whole face to even out skin tone and give a general smooth skin appearance. Whether you apply the concealer or the foundation first is up to you. Some people apply concealer first so that foundation can be put on top of everything and even everything out. The problem with this is that you will probably end up wiping off some of the concealer by blending the foundation on top. If you apply your foundation first (which I would recommend) then you can apply your concealer on top and have it stay on well. This shouldn't be a problem as long as you pick a good shade of concealer that blends into your overall skintone :)

Hope that helps! :)
Concealer is pretty much like the name suggests, use it for dark spots, such as under your eyes, or if you have a scar from a zit or something, it's to help even your skin tone, so when you apply your foundation, it looks flawless.
foundation is for all over your face, to even out your skin tone and hid blemishes. Concealer is for under your eyes, to hide dark circles and for any pimples you may have.
foundation is for your whole face.

Concealer - undereye circles/blemishes/discoloration that the foundation doesn't cover.
