What are you supposed to use for applying foundation or concealer to your face?

foundation: finger is good enough. use a tapping motion instead of a dragging motion. What are you supposed to use for applying foundation or concealer to your face?
Fingertips or a makeup sponge will do.What are you supposed to use for applying foundation or concealer to your face?
Hmmmmm...you're supposed to use a wedge sponge , but I always liked the round sponges that resemble a powder puff....just my personal preference.
it depends...if it's liquid, then you can use pretty much whatever you want, but most people use disposable sponge wedges that you can buy, and if its powder than most people use a blush brush type.
A foundation brush works really well. And if you use expensive make-up like me (Chanel), you will save yourself some money because a little foundation goes a long way with a brush. Unlike sponges that soak up the liquid causing you to over use the product. Also clean fingertips.
you can use your fingers, a spounge or for conceler a brush.
Some people use their fingers, some use brushes, but i think the best way to have a full coverage of your foundation is a sponge! It may look like your wasting makeup into the sponge but they really get the best coverage w/ out as many streaks and missed spots...

Dont forget to put foundation on ur neck so that you dont have a line across your cheekbone.
a makeup sponge
blow your face off and deal with reallity accept your face and stop being in denail if you remember who i am

They make special disposable makeup pads that you can use to apply the foundation or concealer. I personally use my fingers to make sure that I am able to blend it in well.
You're supposed to use one of these little wedge sponges.

The sponge should also be damp. This will give you more even coverage. Don't use your fingers. You'll be adding oil to your face. Also, you don't want to rub the foundation in your skin. You just want to pat it on lightly. The sponge is best.
Okay, the current trend among professional make-up artists is to use brushes. They make both foundation brushes and concealor brushes. I used the foundation brush for a while, but ended up going back to just using my fingers, less waste and better blending.

The posters here crack me up, your fingers aren't ';oily'; unless you've been eating at KFC and I would hope we all have enough sense to wash our hands before applying make-up!!!

Also, nobody uses sponges anymore, they are very unsanitary (unless you use a fresh on every time and that would get expensive). Also, you DO waste a lot of product this way (which is why all the cosmetic counters advocate using a foundation brush, along with the fact that is one more thing they can sell you:-)

I do love the concealor brushes, however, they allow you to get the concealor all the way up under the lashline and blend away any concealor that gathers in fine lines (not that I have any, lol)
if you want the most natural look, use your fingertips. Just make sure your hands are really clean so that you don't spread bacteria or oils and end up breaking out. If you don't like that idea you can get little sponges to use in the makeup isle, or use a q-tip
Most of the time a sponge pad is best, but you can also use a blush brush %26lt;---- I prefer that better it spreads more evenlly on my skin
either a make up wedge/sponge or a foundation brush/concealer brush
