What is the difference between foundation and concealer?

Are both needed and how? what do you recommend or which brand is best?What is the difference between foundation and concealer?
Concealer is a thicker product.. that hides blemishs and dark circles under the eyes..





Foundation is a lighter product that goes all over your face.. or the areas needed to be cover..





You put your concealer on first so on any blemish and dark circles.. and then foundation over the top :)





To Me the best brand is Mineral power by Maybelline :)





Just a tip also..


With concealer always buy a shade lighter then your actual foundation :)

Concealer is used to 'conceal' and cover blemishes and spots etc, and foundation is used for complete coverage of your skin and to get an even skin tone and a more even appearance. I use a light concealer over any blemishes and then a powder all over as I find foundation too heavy :)
concealer can hide blemishes, wrinkles, dark circles under eyes, and freckles. foundation can hide wrinkles and freckles. they're not totally the same but they're really close.

concealer is more of like 'spot treatment,' like to hide eye bags and foundation is used all over the face.
