Is there even something like a concealer or foundation for black people?

I looked in most local beauty shops and I can never find a concealer or foundation for a black persons skin. I only seem to find powders. Maybe the sell those kind of things in the US. And they rarely sell it in Western countries. I don't know.Is there even something like a concealer or foundation for black people?
I THINK I CAN HELP SINCE I AM A MAKEUP ARTIST OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HERITAGE AND PROUD OF IT HERE ARE SOME TIP AND THINGS TO HELP.

you should look into Queen Latifah Covergirl line. I use that alot. I love using Covergirl products either way. I myself use Queen Latifah line of makeup.

Your eyes are your face's most prominent feature. Eye shadow contours, eyeliner defines and mascara adds length and drama to your lashes. Your perfect palette depends on the depth of color in your skin, as well as its undertones.

Determine if your skin has warm or cool undertones. If you have darker skin, accentuate your eyes with shadows and liners whose colors are richer and deeper in intensity.

Enhance a warm complexion with shadows that range between soft orange and rust, from honey to cinnamon. Choose liners that are soft to rich brown, and opt for brown or brown- black mascara.

Complement cooler complexions with shadows in varying shades of blue, purple and pink. Go with liners that are slate gray to soft purple, and wear black or dark gray mascara. Green flatters skin that has both warm and cool undertones. Blue-greens complement cooler complexions, and brownish, earthy greens enhance warmer ones.

Add glamour to a warm complexion with coppery or golden shadow. Pearly purple or silvery blue shadows will glamorize a cooler skin tone.

Tips:

Take some time to experiment with color. Head to your local department store and have a beauty consultant do each eye in a different color scheme to envision your possibilities.

The right brow shape will accentuate your eyes and enhance your features. Pencil in thin brows for more definition.

Warnings:

Choose long-wearing and hypoallergenic eye makeup formulas to minimize potential eye irritation.

Consider lipstick shades that complement your skin tone. Look for deep currants and luscious plums if your skin is ebony or a rich deep brown, and consider coffees, terracottas and brownish reds if you have medium-brown skin. Lighter skin is radiant in varying shades of caramel, peach and coral.

CONCEALER:

Offering more coverage than a foundation, concealer is ideal for camouflaging facial imperfections. It will neutralize and balance the look of a blemish and those dreaded under-eye circles.

Consider concealers that are one to two shades lighter than your skin tone. Remember that the idea is to make a darker spot blend into your complexion.

Select a concealer most appropriate for the area you wish to cover. A creamier version is recommended for the delicate under-eye area, while a drier formula is better suited to other facial skin.

Test variations of a yellow-based concealer, since white, green and pink concealers can leave you with colored rather than concealed imperfections.

FOUNDATION:

To even out your skin驴s appearance and create the illusion of flawless skin, head to the cosmetics counter. The right foundation can do wonders.

Consider your skin type. If you have oily skin, stick with an oil-free formula. If you have drier skin, select a creamier formula that offers moisturizing benefits.

Decide what type of look you'd like to achieve. Foundations can offer sheer to heavy coverage and finishes that range from satiny to matte.

Test the colors of your preferred formula on your jawline, which offers the truest facial coloring. Any foundation will look slightly darker in the bottle, so keep this in mind when assessing your options.

Blend in the foundation gently with a makeup sponge. The foundation should disappear into your skin. If you find you're between shades, blend two colors together, or keep looking for a brand that offers the perfect shade.

Always have a well lite mirror so you can view your options in natural light.

IAfrican-American, it's a good idea to use light, medium and dark shades of foundation to allow for different gradations of color on different parts of your face.

Remember that you have plenty of options to choose from, so if you don't find a good color match, keep looking.

Tips:

For sheer, no-nonsense coverage, consider using a tinted moisturizer.

Look for the many extras some foundation formulas offer, such as sunscreen or ingredients that hide fine lines.

I hope that helps. Is there even something like a concealer or foundation for black people?
Yes, there are, if you will get a self employed Representative from a reliable cosmetic co. and not local beauty shops, you will find your answer there. I'm not allowed to tell you, out right, but the most reliable ones are the ones that go door to door, and by party. I hope this help
this is your lucky day! yes, there is. try mary kay products. they have different shades of concealers as well as foundations for every skin color. visit www.marykay.com now.

Hey! I am a dark chocolate goddess and I love Clinique, their liquid foundation is awesome for dark skin. When I run out, I use the new cover girl line by Queen Latifah, try rich mink that is even a shade deeper than my skin tone. Email me if you are looking to find more solutions, I will be glad to help!

try IMAN cosmetics, they are good and have everything for black women...also, black opal in the drug stores has a good selection...and mac has some items for women of color..
Check out the sonya colour collection at www.foreverliving.com of forever living products company. It's an amazing makeup. It's natural (contains Aloe Vera as the basic natural ingredient not to mention other things like antioxidants, chamomile, marine extracts, avocado oil). It does not only make you look pretty but it also provides needed natural care to your skin especially in terms of moisturising and nourishing. Plus, It is made of very finely ground powders (0.5 micronisation - compared to three or four with many other brands); this makes your makeup look fresher and more natural for longer periods and it allowes the skin to breath and it feels great when you apply it. It suits all types of skins even the sensitive. As a matter of fact, using the sonya colour collection should help treat different skin problems with time depending on how often it is used. The collection covers so many colours. As for the foundation there are 12 colours (check out the colour chart on the website). Good Luck
Have you checked with Prescriptives? They have all colors and with their Flawless foundation, you do not need a concealer
I know IMAN is a makeup line created by Supermodel Iman, b/c she was frustated that there was no line of makeup especially for women of color

http://www.makeup4sisters.com/

This website sells IMAN and other brands, just for women of color... They have all sorts of brands, and I know they ship to Europe for sure... Just not sure what you meant about Western Countries...

Yes, you can definatly find it here in the U.S
I know these work really well, they blend in perfect into your skin, if you want to find your exact shade you can ask a mary kay consultant in your area to perform the test free. The foundations are great too. First you apply the concealer, after that dries you can apply the foundation. You can also get free samples of the foundations and concealers jsut to test them out.

Mary Kay

MK Signature鈩?Concealer

Bronze

Imperfections? Cover them with MK Signature鈩?Concealer. In six great, save-the-day shades. Choose Bronze to cover trouble spots like undereye circles. Or choose the shade that's right for your skin tone.

Mary Kay foundation is lightweight, so it feels like you are not wearing anything at all. I personally have never liked any foundations until I used the Mary Kay foundation. I still have a bottle of true match, but I only used it once because I felt it was too thick.
Yeah i think that covergirl has this new product, but i think its more like a bronzer than a foundation
It all depends on your complexion. I am a darkskin black person and I could not find anytype of concelar or foundation for my skin complextion. I tried everything from Black Opal to Mary Kay to Fashion Fair and nothing would work for me. I noticed that a lot of those prdoct lines cater to the lighter shades of black people more then to the darker skin, well to make a long story short, the only product line I use now is Mac Cosmetics. They cater to everyone and it will leave your skin looking flawless. I think this is their website. WWW. mac.com.. If not, search for Mac Cosmettics on the website. Good Luck !
prescriptives is great for black people. I don't like fashion Far cause If you a dark black it makes your skin looks so orange. i like prescriptives cause you have make your makeup custom made for your face.
buy online
