I'm worried, cause I heard something about it... if its true, is it only a certain type of make-up? Please add any necessary details.Does concealer and foundation really speed up the aging process?
no, foundation and concealer won't speed up the aging process. In fact the could help protect your skin if they contain SPF.
Wearing face makeup can't make you age faster, but, it is very important to wash your face and let it breathe since wearing makeup can act like a petri-dish for all of the bacteria and contaminants of the day. Just wash it all off before going to sleep so your face has a chance to breathe while you sleep. And, also, try to be as gentle as possible when applying it because tugging and being rough on your skin can damage it. Never rub hard or ';scrub';.Does concealer and foundation really speed up the aging process?
no, i've been using it for 30 years, my skin is healthy %26amp; i look younger than my age. use natural mineral make-up, it doesn't get absorbed into the skin like regular powder, or liquid foundations. factors in the aging process are genetics, lifestyle, nutrition, skincare, etc.
I dont think it speeds up the aging process....
However, its HORRIBLE for your skin. It dries it out, you break out, and its really unattractive...
No, foundation or concealer do not speed up the aging process, it is the way you take care of your skin that can lead to aging sooner. If you forget to remove your make up at night it could cause a lot of damage to your skin and you could face other issues like breakouts and pimples. Buy concealers or foundations that have a high SPF and always remember to remove your makeup and moisturize your face every night before you got to bed, it is also a good idea to give your face a ';break'; for at least one day of the week and not wear any make up :)
I've never heard that. In fact, foundations can hinder the aging process if they have SPF in them.
Although, I have heard that if you don't wash the makeup off at night, that could add age to your life. That was from a couple Mary Kay consultants, not based on any research i know of.
